Botox®: The “Lunch Hour” Wrinkle Remover
Unlike fillers, Botox® is a substance that is injected into the muscles of the face to block nerve signals to the muscles. This keeps facial muscles from contracting which softens the look of wrinkles*. Botox® works especially well for forehead lines, crow’s feet and frown lines. It is not as successful in treating wrinkles caused by sun damage or the natural draw of gravity. While the effects are typically not seen for three to seven days after injection, it is called the “lunch hour” wrinkle remover because the procedure itself is quick and virtually painless, allowing you to return to normal activity almost immediately*.
Is Botox® a Good Choice for You?
If you have deep wrinkles in your forehead area or lines, creases, crow’s feet, laugh lines, or any one of a number of facial imperfections, Botox® can offer long-lasting results with a procedure that you can undertake on your lunch break*. Botox® is not a filler, so there is no worry of a reaction to a substance being injected under your skin. Botox® changes the mechanism of the muscles in the face to lessen and, in some cases completely remove, imperfections*.
Typical injection patterns include the following:
- About four or five areas on each side of the forehead
- Two or three areas on either eye area
