Growing older is never fun, but with microneedling, it just became a whole lot smoother. Microneedling is an easy and simple procedure that can take years off of a person’s face and improve the overall texture and appearance of their skin. Residents in Philadelphia no longer have to hide behind their age now that Dr. Victoria Falcone offers microneedling services for women and men who desire a more youthful appearance.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a process that utilizes an electric skin needling device to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The device breaks down old scar tissue and stimulates new skin cells to proliferate. This boost in skin cell production allows wrinkles and fine lines to be filled and for patients to regain their youthful and refreshed appearances. The results appear very natural so you can keep your own natural beauty and simply enhance your features*.
Benefits of Microneedling?
The biggest benefit of Microneedling is that it can provide you with a refreshed and natural appearance without the need for surgery*. Microneedling stimulates the body’s natural collagen and elastin compounds to improve the overall appearance and texture of your skin. Other benefits include:
- Scar tissue, wrinkles and fine lines can disappear*

Before & After Microneedling in Philadelphia
How is Microneedling Performed?
This procedure utilizes a Microneedling device that gently slides across the skin and penetrates its upper layers. Before the procedure can begin, the skin is cleaned and numbed by applying a numbing cream to help the patient stay comfortable throughout the procedure. Next, a small, handheld microneedling device with a sterile tip is rolled over the skin. The Microneedling device has a disposable tip with approximately 12 small gauge needles attached that gently pierce the upper layers of the skin. The safe and effective Microneedling device penetrates approximately 2 millimeters of skin and creates numerous minuscule, controlled wounds to prompt the body’s own natural repair systems to take over.
Microneedling creates small, controlled wounds on the surface of the skin. As a response, the body produces extra collagen and elastin to fill in the controlled wounds and make the skin appear plumper. This reduces the appearance of facial scars, wrinkles and fine lines. The process is continued over the entire face to give the patient a smoother and refreshed appearance.
After the Microneedling procedure has been completed, Dr. Victoria Falcone may apply a variety of facial creams or treatments to soothe, heal, hydrate and protect the skin. This ensures that patient that they will heal quickly and see results within a few days. Repeated treatments every four to six weeks may be necessary to achieve the final desired results.
