Multiple Liposuction Technologies to Suit Your Unique Needs
You don’t have to navigate your liposuction journey alone!
At your consultation, you’ll first be greeted by one of Dr. Falcone’s team members who will review your history and concerns. Dr. Falcone meets with every patient personally, unlike some offices where you can only meet with a consultant. She will take the time to discuss your concerns and develop a unique treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Dr. Falcone has invested significant time and resources to offer multiple liposuction technologies, customizing each procedure to fit your goals. The technology used will depend on your unique situation, whether you’re dealing with slight bulges, loose skin, or areas requiring fat transfer, such as the face, hands, or buttocks.
Based on your body and goals, Dr. Falcone may combine several technologies below to give you the most sculpted and refined appearance, with no additional charge for the use of multiple technologies.
BodyJet Liposuction, Water Assisted Liposuction (Aquashape)
Body Jet Liposuction is a transformative new technique for liposuction that gently dislodges fat cells from surrounding connective tissue using pulses of anesthetic fluid. As the water jet dislodges the unwanted fat, it is gently suctioned from the area in one continuous process. The result is less fluid in the body at any given time than with the previous wet or tumescent (local anesthetic) techniques, making it possible to see the end result when the procedure is completed.
Body Jet Liposuction is also a liposuction technique that removes fat so that it can be transferred to other parts of the body such as the face, hands, or buttocks. A patient’s fat grafting procedure can be done the same day as their Body Jet Liposuction procedure, all while the patient is awake. The fat removed by the Body Jet is suctioned into a sterile container and then placed into syringes for injection in other areas.
Once the fat is removed for transfer, SmartLipo™ can be used to tighten the remaining skin.
Body Jet Liposuction is Dr. Falcone’s favorite technique for sculpting thighs. It is also the indicated technique for treating Lipedema, a fat storage disorder in which Dr. Falcone has over 10 years of experience in treating.
ANESTHESIA: An anesthetic fluid and the patient is awake during the procedure.
PAIN: Discomfort during recovery period but most patients return to basic activity very quickly.
DOWNTIME: After 1-2 days, patients can resume normal activities but should wait at least two weeks before resuming strenuous activities.
SCARS: Minimal, about ¼ inch.
BRUISING: Minimal bruising.
RESULTS*: Less swelling from excess fluid means both the doctor and patient can see the actual body contouring as it takes place. This provides more aesthetic accuracy and fewer surprises than a procedure after which you must wait for the swelling to subside to see the actual result. *
COMPRESSION GARMENT: Two weeks.
SmartLipo Triplex, Laser Assisted Liposuciton
To tighten loose skin we use the SmartLipo™ Triplex laser. SmartLipo harnesses the power of a unique laser to liquefy and destroy fat cells. The laser simultaneously tightens skin to help prevent the presence of “hanging skin” that often accompanies older liposuction techniques. The result is a much improved, smoother result.
In general, SmartLipo™ as a single treatment may be a good option for patients who generally healthy and within 25 pounds of their ideal weight, have areas of localized fat deposits that have been unresponsive to diet and/or exercise, and are motivated to rid themselves of these fatty areas*. If you have more than 25 pounds to lose, Dr. Falcone will often combine the procedure with another technology to ensure that all deeper fat is removed.
Vaser Liposelection
VASER® Liposelection uses ultrasound that can be targeted to specific fat tissue leaving the connective tissue around it nearly undisturbed. It efficiently breaks up, emulsifies and removes unwanted fat and can be directed to a very specific area or region. This not only offers a superior result but also gives patients tighter results with often less bruising than traditional liposuction procedures.
Vaser Liposelection is used for removing deeper level fat. It is also used for patients who had previous liposuction procedures and may have scar tissue to deal with.
Dr. Falcone often combines Vaser with Smartlipo Triplex to provide advanced skin tightening where it is needed.
ANESTHESIA: Local anesthesia and the patient is awake during the procedure.
PAIN: Discomfort during recovery period but most patients return to basic activity very quickly.
DOWNTIME: After 2-3 days, patients can resume normal activities but should wait at leas two weeks before resuming strenuous activities.
SCARS: Minimal, about ¼ inch.
BRUISING: Minimal bruising.
RESULTS*: Not only offers a superior result but also gives patients tighter results often with less bruising. *
COMPRESSION GARMENT: For approximately two weeks depending on the area being treated.
Lipo 360 in Philadelphia
Lipo 360 and “circumferential liposuction” are just terms that refer to liposuction around the entire torso. Dr. Falcone is a pioneer in liposuction. She was performing this type of liposuction before the phrase was ever coined.
The majority of patients who come for liposuction are women who desire a more attractive and aesthetically proportioned physique. As a woman, Dr Falcone has a unique appreciation of how important this is for her patients.
It’s not enough just to remove fat. There is an artistry to removing fat …and sometimes even transferring that fat to other areas…in a way that makes a woman feel truly beautiful.

Puregraft
If you intend to transfer the fat removed during your liposuction to other areas like your face, hands, or buttocks, then you will be interested in the Falcone Center’s Puregraft technology. The Falcone Center uses the leading-edge Puregraft system by Cytori instead of the older centrifugation technique.
The Puregraft system is the only fat grafting system clinically validated to improve long-term graft retention, and produce superior fat transfer outcomes.
Puregraft’s selective filtration technology gently dialyzes the harvested fat, removing only blood, oil, fluid, and fragmented cells within a closed system. The result is a concentrated graft of healthy, viable fat cells.
Traditional methods of fat graft preparation are not effective at removing contaminants which cause decreased retention. Data published in a peer-reviewed article comparing Puregraft to centrifugation and the decant method show consistently lower contaminant levels in Puregraft. Microscopic appearance of the fat also shows significantly more purified and concentrated viable adipocytes using the Puregraft technology.
After the fat is purified Dr. Falcone will then skillfully re-inject it with specially designed needles into the areas that need augmentation.
The Wells Johnson Closed Fat Transfer System
Another cutting edge fat transfer technology used by the Falcone Center is the Wells Johnson High Volume Precision (HVP) Auto-Graft Infusion System.
It is a highly customizable closed system with specialized cannulas for fat collection and transfer. The Wells Johnson HVP reduces the chance of infection, and increases the viability of transferred fat for better results.
The Wells Johnson Auto-Graft Infusion System can collect a high volume of fat gently and store it in a sealed sterile environment before the transfer process. It is an ideal way to guarantee the safest, long-lasting results for our patients.
The system consists of two types of cannulas, harvesting and re-injection cannulas. These cannulas are designed uniquely for their specific task of collecting and re-inserting a large volume of live tissue. They are designed especially for compatibility, with corresponding port sizes. This guarantees that the access points of the body remain as small and consistent a size as possible.
A Vibrator Tissue Separator separates the harvested tissue into its usable components using low-level vibration. This eliminates centrifugal forces from the process and accelerates the rate at which the fat and fluids separate. Tissue can be separated without interruption during active fat harvesting.
AMLI Micronized Fat Transfer
Micronized Fat Transfer is a new breakthrough technology for restoring fat volume in your face and hands.
In previous methods of fat transfer the fat being transferred was often lumpy and almost half the fat cells transferred would eventually die. This made results unpredictable. Especially in areas that require smaller volumes of transfer and symmetry like the face. So most facial rejuvenation was done with hyaluronic acid fillers which had a more predictable consistency.
ALMI Micronized Fat Transfer is a game changer. The harvested fat is now mixed with plasma from your own blood and then processed and separated in a centrifuge. The end product is then emulsified which makes the fat thinner for injection similar to the consistency of hyaluronic acid fillers. So it can now offer very nice results in fine areas like the face and hands and even the male and female genitalia.
Since the ALMI Micronized Fat Transfer consists of your own fat cells and plasma there is a greatly reduced chance of reaction to the injection compared to fillers. And they last longer, often as long as 5 years compared to fillers which may last 6 months to two years.
