Lose Those Frown Lines with Xeomin®
Xeomin® uses the same protein used in Botox® but is specifically formulated to reduce the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyes.
Xeomin® is injected directly into the affected muscles. It works by preventing the muscle fibers between the eyes from contracting when you squint or frown. This reduces the appearance of the folds and frown lines. Xeomin® is a relatively new choice in the line of Botox®-like injectables as the FDA approved it in 2011 for cosmetic use.
Xeomin® treatments are quick and relatively painless and most patients will begin to see improvement as early as three to four days after the treatment with the maximum effect achieved at 30 days. Results typically last up to three months but vary by patient.
Is Xeomin® a Good Choice for You?
As we age, one of the common places we will notice creases or wrinkles is the forehead area between the eyes. This is especially true if you have a habit of squinting or frowning, as these are commonly referred to as “frown lines.”
As you continue to age, these lines have a tendency to become deeper and become visible even when you are not frowning or squinting. Xeomin® works to stop the small muscle fibers in your forehead from contracting, which is what causes these lines. Results from Xeomin® can be seen within a few days and the results can last for months, but vary by patient.
