See us for voluma in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maple Shade, New Jersey, Bala Cynwyd , Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas. The Falcone Center for Functional and Cosmetic Medicine offers Voluma™ to residents interested in eliminating fine lines and wrinkles.
What Is Voluma™?
Voluma™ is an FDA-approved dermal filler that is designed to restore lost volume around the cheeks and mid-face region*. These injections are comprised of a substance known as hyaluronic acid (HA), which creates a cushion to support facial tissue. What sets Voluma™ apart from many other dermal fillers is the innovative Vycross™ technology. Vycross™ allows the gel-like solution to absorb evenly throughout the skin to create a more natural appearance. Patients will immediately notice a boost to their skin’s firmness and elasticity*.
Benefits of Voluma™
Due to the combination of hyaluronic acid and Vycross™ technology, Voluma™ is one of the most popular dermal fillers in the world. Patients can enjoy the many benefits of a surgical lift without the lengthy recovery period. When injected by a skilled cosmetic specialist such as Dr. Falcone, this treatment has the ability to tone a patient’s skin and reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles*. Some of the other benefits that many patients enjoy include:
- Bouncier skin with a smoother appearance*.
- A quick, easy, and pain-free application process*.
- Results that last for up to two years*.
- Immediate results*.
- Absolutely no recovery time*.
- Safe ingredients that appear naturally in the human body*.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Voluma™?
Most doctors recommend that patients are in relatively good health and at least 21 years old before undergoing Voluma™ injections. These injections have been approved by the FDA to increase the elasticity of one’s skin and add volume to the cheeks and other areas of the face. In addition to older patients that want to soften lines and restore volume, many younger patients utilize this treatment to delay the signs of aging before they ever appear. Patients should speak with Dr. Falcone about any medication they are taking or recent surgeries near the injection sites.
How Involved is the Voluma™ Procedure?
Patients will be glad to hear that Voluma™ is virtually painless and takes just minutes to administer. For those that are worried about any discomfort, we do offer a topical anesthetic to numb the skin. Immediately following your appointment, you can return to all of your daily activities.
How Long is the Recovery Period Following Voluma™?
There is no recovery period for Voluma™, but there are some activities that patients should avoid in the days following their injections. This includes dental work, massages, and any physical activities that could result in trauma to the face. Any swelling or redness near the injection sites should disappear within just a few days.
